An unsolicited endorsement
From a man who reviews concrete for a living
George Ackerman sat on the planning commissions of both Palos Verdes Estates and Los Angeles County — a job that put a lot of concrete work in front of him. After Roy finished his driveway, he sent this letter.
Dear Roy Lindahl:
You have completed the installation of a concrete driveway for us, and I want you to know how pleased Mrs. Ackerman and I are with the entire job. Not only did your men do a fine job of preparation and pouring, they cleaned up beautifully afterwards. I appreciate your close supervision of the entire project.
In addition to being on the Planning Commission here in Palos Verdes Estates, I am also on the Countywide Planning Commission of Los Angeles County. Consequently, I have seen many concrete jobs. Yours was outstanding in workmanship and promptness. Congratulations!

Put to the test
When Roy’s plan beat the engineers’
Previously we experienced water damage to the building because of poor drainage. Now PV Blvd South is closed in that area because of the heavy rainfall… When we remodeled I hired a competent engineering firm to redesign the walkways and drainage at that property and they recommended another concrete company. But because of my previous positive experience with you, I asked your opinion and you came up with a different plan. When I showed your plan to the engineers, I was told that your plan was much better than theirs, and so I went ahead with your plan.
Here I am with a record rainfall and sitting pretty, all thanks to you. Being a professional myself, I seldom hear from people where my effort pays off, but rather just the complaints. I thought I would pass on to you our gratitude for your professionalism.
