Public Works

Sidewalks, parkways, and municipal flatwork — poured to spec, finished to ours.

The craft

The same standards, at city scale

Public concrete has to satisfy two customers: the agency inspecting it and the thousands of people who’ll walk it for the next forty years. We form, pour, and finish sidewalks, parkways, and curb and gutter to agency specifications — proper subgrade, proper slopes, clean joints — with the same crew that does our residential work.

Licensed since 1982 and experienced working alongside general contractors and city inspectors across the South Bay.

Common questions about public work

What kind of public work do you take on?

Municipal and commercial flatwork — sidewalks, parkways, curb and gutter, and the concrete scopes general contractors need poured to agency spec. It’s the same crew that does our residential work, holding the same line on base prep and finish.

Are you licensed and insured for agency work?

Yes — we’ve held California contractor license #427246 (C8 Concrete, C29 Masonry) since 1982, and we carry the insurance agency and commercial work requires. Documentation is available on request.

Do you work as a subcontractor?

We do. General contractors bring us in for concrete and masonry scopes on larger projects — if you have plans and a schedule, call (310) 539-8023 and we’ll price the scope.
